USA Kettlebell Sport Lifting is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created with an intent to promote, advance and unify The Sport of Kettlebell Lifting in the USA and to select, appoint and send qualified athletes, collectively known as USA Kettlebell Lifting Team to compete internationally in International Union of Kettlebell Lifting World competitions and beyond.

USKSL MEMBERSHIPS
Are individuals or families who have joined the USA Kettlebell Sport Lifting and are current with dues. Membership is open to anyone irrespective of age, gender, race, sexual orientation or creed, who displays an active interest in learning, participating and/or promoting the sport associated with USA Kettlebell Sport Lifting. Members aged 18 years or older and are American Citizens, shall be eligible to vote, hold office, and serve on committees. Individual members under the age of 18 in good standing will be allowed one vote represented by their parent or guardian. Membership is fulfilled after completion of membership application and payment of dues. All memberships shall be granted upon majority vote of the board.

VOTING MEMBERSHIP
Application for voting membership shall be open to any current resident, property owner, business operator, or employee that supports the purpose statement in Article I. Membership is granted after completion and receipt of a membership application and annual dues . All memberships shall be granted upon majority vote of the board. All related persons living at the same address may be included in the membership and be considered a “family” regarding “family membership”. Individuals under the age of 18 may attend meetings; however, the parent(s) of minor members will be eligible to vote, hold office, and serve on committees.
PLEASE CONSIDER YOUR RIGHTS and RESPONSIBILITIES AS A VOTING MEMBER:
To elect elected directors (designated directors need not be approved by the members);
To remove directors without cause (subject to the rights of the designator to consent to such removal of a designated director);
To fill vacancies caused by a removal of a director (unless the bylaws explicitly state otherwise);
To approve any amendment of the articles (except for certain mostly ministerial provisions);
To amend the bylaws;
To approve the amendment of any provisions of the bylaws that materially and adversely affect their rights on voting or transfer;
To approve any amendment of the bylaws that would change the authorized number of directors or change it from a fixed number to a variable number (with a minimum and maximum) or vice versa;
To approve any amendment of the bylaws that would extend one or more director’s term of office;
To approve any amendment of the bylaws that would adopt, amend, or repeal provisions for designating directors;
To approve any amendment of the bylaws that would increase the quorum for membership meetings;
To approve any amendment of the bylaws affecting proxy rights of members;
To approve any amendment of the bylaws terminating membership rights;
To approve the sale, exchange, transfer or other disposition of all or substantially all of the corporation’s assets (not in the usual and regular course of the corporation’s activities);
To approve a merger;
To amend a merger agreement;
To approve most kinds of volunteer elections to wind up and dissolve;
To inspect corporate books and records for reasons reasonably related to the requesting member’s interest in the corporation;
To inspect and copy or receive a copy of the membership list (subject to exceptions);
To participate in nominating elected directors (doesn’t apply to designated directors);
To receive an annual report for years in which gross revenues are $25,000 or more;
To receive copies of certain reports that must be filed with the Attorney General;
To have fair disciplinary procedures before being suspended or expelled; and
To sue directors derivatively (on behalf of the corporation) for breach of fiduciary duties.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP
Individuals interested in the Program activities and who wish to support the purposes and objectives of the Program are eligible for Associate Membership. Associate Members shall be entitled to attend the annual meeting, but do not have the right to vote, hold office, or serve on a committee.
CONTRIBUTING MEMBERSHIP
Organizations, Institutions, or Foundations, which contribute annually to the Program, may be eligible for Contributing Membership. Contributing Members shall be entitled to attend the annual meeting, but shall not have the right to vote, hold office, or serve on a committee.
After accepting the responsibilities of USKSL membership you are considered and shall be responsible as a Associate Member with a requirement to abide by USKSL rules regulations along with USKSL Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics. A Associate Member may choose to take on the responsibilities of A Voting Membership as well as A Contributing Membership .
